How's it going, hope all is good

Hi! Yeah, everything is okay. Honestly, I haven't worked much this last week, but Im pretty sure everything is practically finished for the release version. I want to say I will upload it to the asset store in about a week, but it may take until the end of the month if I can't find the time to work on a few details (I've been a bit busy). Also, Im not sure how much time it will take to get the asset approved after uploading.

Sorry for the wait, and thanks for checking in!

Well that is great news! No need to be sorry, we all get busy with other things, main thing is you are nearly done with the release version which i honestly am hyped for haha, but yeah never know how long unity will take to approve but hopefully not long, anyway keep up the great work!

(+1)

btw you should add maybe like an ammo crate  not meaning to show any rush but that would be cool

The plan is to release it on the Unity asset store as a paid asset, though I intend to keep it very affordable.

(1 edit)

yo I will say I had to  rate this . btw it is so good .keep up the good work . I have to say it is the best 2d shooter I've played since 3rd grade so just wow brovo. edit(contact me for more details .

Hi! I'm really sorry but I really can't share the project just yet. If everything goes right, I should have a public version in 2 or 3 months like Techyy said below (maybe even sooner), but if you really can't wait I'd gladly help you in any way if you want to recreate it. Again I'm sorry I can't share it sooner, but I really don't want to release an unfinished product even if it's just for one person.

I’m sorry, but I really won’t release an early version. Here is a good tutorial for a similar walk style, if you want to follow it: https://medium.com/@merxon22/recreating-rain-worlds-2d-procedural-animation-part...

I can also assist you if you have any doubts, but apart from that, I can only wish you luck with your project.

I never used Godot before but I can't see why not.

(1 edit) (+1)

Got this to work on the steam deck through browser lol, was pretty fun i won't lie haha

(+1)

Thats awesome! Ive never used the deck myself but Im glad this works well with it. Let me know if any controls need tuning, and thanks for always stopping by!

(+1)

of course no problem, as for now controls are smooth so no need for any tuning will play a bit more anyway and let you know if anything changes!

(+1)

Thanks! Im also about to launch a small update with tracer rounds and firing modes if you want to check it out.

(+2)

Just tried it out, again don’t know how you do it  every time but insane the tracers are dope, love them on the shotgun especially, I genuinely cannot wait until the first version is out!

good

Thanks!

This looks awesome, great work so far.
Is there any rough ETA or planned release timeframe?

Hi! Sorry for the late response. Currently Im making this as an asset for a game template / framework so Im almost finished, just need to improve the code (and add some minor features along the way). I dont really have an ETA since it depends on the free time I get during the day, but Im hoping it wont take much longer for the first version, maybe 2 or 3 months.

can you make an exe pls

(+1)

Just wanted to drop by and say happy new year! Looking forward to this releasing in 2026 ;)

(+1)

Happy New Year! Im finishing up a new sound system to handle impact sounds and spatial audio and once thats done I’ll probably only improve the code a bit before releasing the first version.

Thank you for dropping by!

(+1)

That's great news! looking forward to it.

(+1)

I am not joking but i visit this page more than i care to admit just to play the demo lol

(+1)

Love to hear it! I'd love to add some game like features like levels and such but I really need to focus on improving the code and mechanics. Also, people keep thinking Im making an actual game, so adding more of those would probably confuse them even more xd

(1 edit) (+1)

Honestly levels should be up to the person who buys the asset IMO, 1 level that showcases features is enough tbh, as for mechanics maybe i could suggest grenades and a rocket launcher maybe lol, but honestly they can just come with later updates, i'm just to hyped about the first release hahaha, also i mean i does look like it could be a game with what is there so far it looks polished asf

(+1)

Completely agree, I’ll probably keep this demo until release and maybe add a level or two after that. As for grenades and rpgs, thats definitely something I'll add. I cant guarantee they will be there at release but I’ll try!

(+1)

Nice

(+1)

yo twin i dunno if you saw my shii on the youtube vid but could you PLLEEEAAASSSEEEEEE add it, (when you have time tht is)

I didnt really get a chance to work on this much this month, so I havent added it yet. But mobile support is definitely coming (Im assuming you were the one asking about it).

no no lmao, i wanted a little more gore and active ragdolls, body reactions to being shot in vitals points (exmpls: head, heart, neck etc.) and also  a mobile port would be based, but i want it to be more, hm, brutally realistic yknow?, but dude ZERO pressure, work on it when y'can but please dont give up on it, i js love goofing around on it and at times accidentally breaking the game, hope you see this!

(+2)

Hey just came here to send my props to this creator, I hope your game keeps growing slow and steady until it reaches greatness!! Keep going :D

Thank you so much!

(+1)

this game make me happy when i played it and it helped me be happy

Glad to hear!

ive got a recommendation for you

(+1)

mele weapons would be a fun addition to the to your game

Definitely something I’ll try to implement in the future, thanks for the suggestion!

Yo I think there are some issues with the gun and the player interacting with the spawning people

Hi! Do you mean when enemies spawn on top of your gun? If so, I’ll try to add a way to prevent that from happening in the next update

(+1)

Hey, its Ryan from youtube lol, man all I gotta say is I'll be playing this demo all day, its awesome just insanely smooth weapons feel nice, same as movement and the effects are on point, I'll be your first customer guaranteed haha.

(+1)

I was going to release a video showcasing the new weapons and playing a bit on the demo but I guess you found out early xd. The movement (running and jumping) still isnt perfect but I wanted to share anyway. Thank you so much for your support, man Ill definitely gift you a free key when this is out!

(+1)

Hahaha yeah was following you here and got a notification and was like i gotta drop everything and check it out lool, i mean imho it feels great but i mean that's me, No problem i am looking forward to the release of this more than you could imagine :P, nah honestly i will be more than happy to buy it i could not accept a free key for something you have put time and effort into but i do really appreciate it.
